I don’t if many of you have ever heard of “Steel Magnolias” with Julia Roberts, Sally Fields, and Dotty Parton… which was and still is a classic. The movie came out in 1989 and lets just say that I have an old soul. If you haven’t seen it yet then I would suggest you watch that one first before watching a remake.
I am so excited to a remake of a classic and with an All-Star cast. In the remake you will see Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, Adepero Oduye and Rashad’s daughter, Condola Rashad.
The contemporary remake of the classic film Steel Magnolias follows six Louisiana women, M’Lynn (Queen Latifah), Ouiser (Alfre Woodard), Clairee (Phylicia Rashad), Truvy (Scott), Annelle (Oduye) and Shelby (Condola Rashad), as they go through life together. Like the 1989 flick, M’Lynn’s daughter will be diabetic and pregnant.
