There are multiple storylines on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” but the producers are going in on the one that is truly compelling: the love triangle of Joseline, Mimi and Stevie J.
Stevie J wants to have his cake and eat it, too. He’d like to have both ladies as part of his harem. His problem: the women want none of that. They each want him for themselves. He can’t have it both ways.
But, oh, he is going to try.
He started therapy with Mimi, his baby’s mama. He acts all sincere, acknowledging that he’s a lying bipolar crackhead. But at the same time, he is still wanting to sleep with singer Joseline and keep her as a “client” in his music business. Mimi is not going for that but he insists.
In fact, he somehow thinks by bringing the two ladies into a therapy session, he could smooth things out and get them to understand his way of thinking. This is one delusional human being.
In fact, things get awkward fast, especially when he wipes sweat off the nose of a nervous Joseline in front of Mimi. The psychologist calls him on it. He claims it’s all innocent, not a “passive aggressive” move to disrespect Mimi. Mimi is seething. Then Joseline finds out that Stevie J is not only trying to reconcile with Mimi but that he and Mimi are now living together. He conveniently omitted that information to Joseline. Joseline went planet of the apes nuts.
The producers of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” were ready with security at this point because the minute Joseline started putting them paws on Stevie J, the security team (borrowed possible from an old episode of “Jerry Springer”) swooped in to stop the beating she was laying on him. Joseline’s a strong man. It took a 8 men to get him off of Stevie. The best part: one camera person zoomed in on Mimi, who just sat there with a grin on her face. She was happy to see him get his ass whipped – and she didn’t have to lay a finger on him.
Stevie J eventually escapes the clutches of a spurned Joseline and is seen wandering down the street in a daze.
But in previews for next week, he’s in a strip club with Benzino still convinced he could “fix” this situation to his liking.
